Privacy policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
The short version: falsetto collects nothing. Your recordings and measurements stay on your device, and nothing about you is sent to us or to anyone else. This page covers both the falsetto app and this website, falsetto.me.
falsetto is made by Pixel Perfections LLC, which does business as Falsetto. Questions about this policy or your privacy go to privacy@falsetto.me.
The app
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no name, email address or profile for you.
- No data collection. The app has no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking code. It never uploads your recordings or measurements.
- The microphone. falsetto asks for microphone access so it can analyze your voice. The audio is processed on your device, as you speak.
- What is stored, and where. Your settings and the sessions you choose to save are stored on your device only. The first time you save a session, falsetto asks whether to keep its audio, so a recording of your voice is kept only if you choose to. Settings changes that later. falsetto also keeps the dates you practiced, for your daily streak, and your best score in each game. The dates are dates only, with nothing you said. Settings shows what falsetto has stored and where, and one action deletes all of it.
- Reminders. On iPhone, iPad and Android you can turn on a daily reminder. falsetto asks for permission to send notifications only when you do. Your device schedules the reminder and shows it; nothing is sent to us or through any server.
- Sharing a recording. On iPhone, iPad and Android, Share hands the trimmed part of a take to your device’s share sheet, as a WAV file named “falsetto” with the date and time. The app you pick sends it where you choose; falsetto itself sends nothing, and nothing reaches us. Once shared, the file follows the rules of that app and of the people you send it to. The copy made for sharing stays in falsetto’s own folder until your next share or the next time falsetto opens, and deleting everything removes it.
- Not in backups. On iPhone, iPad and Android, falsetto keeps what it stores out of your device’s backups, including iCloud and Google’s, and out of moving to a new phone. So uninstalling falsetto, or changing phones, permanently removes your saved sessions and settings. Nobody, including us, has a copy to restore.
- No internet connection. The app itself connects to nothing. Its Privacy policy and Support links in Settings open this site in your web browser, the same as typing the address yourself.
- The diagnostics log. To help fix problems, falsetto keeps a small log on your device of errors and of how it last closed, plus a record of any crash. It never contains audio or measurements. The Diagnostics section of Settings shows the report it would make, and lets you turn the log off or delete it. It reaches us only if you choose to send it: falsetto opens your own email app or share sheet with the report in it, for you to read and send yourself.
Buying falsetto
falsetto will be sold through the App Store, Google Play and the Microsoft Store, and on Linux through a payment provider named at checkout. Each one handles your payment under its own privacy policy. We receive the sales records each store gives developers. We don’t use them to contact you, and we don’t combine them with anything else, because there is nothing else.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Every file it loads comes from falsetto.me itself.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes each request, including your IP address and browser details, and may keep request logs for a limited time. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Emailing support
If you email support@falsetto.me, we receive your email address and whatever you write, including a support report if you send one, and use them only to answer you. The address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the mailbox that handles support. Ask us at any time to delete your messages.
Children
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. A change that collects anything at all would be a change to what falsetto is, and would be stated plainly.
